FUNDING NEEDED FOR NEW PROJECTS

The Dodwell Trust welcomes people to take part in its projects. We encourage groups of friends to take on the challenge of funding a small stand-alone project, raising the funds through dinner parties and sponsorship.

Our not yet funded project proposals are:
1. Setting up a tree nursery: £1,000
2. Setting up a Computer initiation club: £3,200

Please ask for a copy of the proposal that interests you. If you wish to set up one of these projects but cannot maintain its running costs, these will be covered by The Dodwell Trust. The land available to these projects is neighbouring our Learning and Project Centre.

By building a Learning and Project Centre in Madagascar, we aim to enable and educate young people to become valued members of the community and leaders of community initiatives, promoting the growth of rural development and spreading capacity in revenue-generating and conservation activities. Our goal is to enable the Malagasy to reduce poverty.

The Centre will run a range of classes and training courses for young people, and will implement local projects concerning wildlife, nursery for endemic fruit trees, and conservation of mulberry-tree forests where wild silk-worms breed.
