FUNDING NEEDED FOR NEW PROJECTS

The Dodwell Trust welcomes people to take part in its projects. We encourage individuals or groups of friends to take on the challenge of funding a small project, raising the funds through dinner parties and sponsorship.

Our not yet funded project proposals are:

£100 Educational materials for Learning Centre
£200 Setting up a tree nursery in silkworm project
£200 Planting 2 hectares of endemic silkworm forest
£200 Planting 2 hectares of buffer zone woodlands
£3000 / year or £100 / school to provide education on rainforest fauna and flora to local children
£2500 Building of 2-room community radio centre

Additional help: many footballs needed for all the schools we help
The replanting of tapia forest where wild silkworms breed is vital since the trees are unique, existing in no other country in the world. Now in very degraded state, yet with local group trying hard to re-generate the forest, no financial donor. Funds much needed.
By building Learning and Project Centres in Madagascar, we aim to enable and educate young people to become valued members of the community and leaders of community initiatives, promoting the growth of rural development and spreading capacity in revenue-generating and conservation activities. Our goal is to enable the Malagasy to reduce poverty, so that they may conserve the islands unique and varied environments into the future.
