Access Madagascar Initiative (AMI) is a UK-based non-profit organisation, working with children, young people and communities in Madagascar helping them through shared development projects and access to education.
In Madagascar AMI works under an official 'Accord de Siege' to help disadvantaged communities, teach English, train teachers, host English clubs in schools libraries, hospitals and conservation organisations. AMI also works with communities, donors and international school groups, to help build learning facilities like classrooms, libraries as well as sanitation facilities like toilets and showers.
We work closely with charities based in Madagascar and the UK, and were founded to continue the Dodwell Trust volunteer programme.
You can help: We offer volunteering opportunities that will transport you to the heart of Madagascar and its people.
